Prohibited and restricted inventory

We review submissions before proposing a recovery plan. The following categories may not be submitted, marketed, or transacted through Sell the Surplus without a lawful and approved handling process:

• Items that are illegal to possess, sell, ship, or transfer
• Stolen, counterfeit, or suspected counterfeit goods
• Recalled, unsafe, or materially defective products
• Hazardous materials or regulated goods that cannot be handled safely and legally
• Firearms, ammunition, controlled substances, or related regulated equipment
• Personal data, medical records, or equipment containing sensitive information
• Inventory subject to a lien, dispute, lease restriction, or ownership claim without written authorization

If you are unsure whether an item is restricted, include a note in your submission. We may decline, request documentation, or refer the item to an appropriate specialist.
