Terms of service
Effective September 10, 2026
Service overview
Sell the Surplus provides an early-stage inventory recovery and buyer-matching service. Submission of inventory or buyer information does not guarantee a valuation, listing, buyer match, sale, or recovery amount.
Seller approval
No inventory will be marketed, offered, or sold through the service without seller approval of the applicable plan and terms. Sellers remain responsible for the accuracy, ownership, condition, and legality of the inventory they submit.
No upfront charge
The service is designed around success-based recovery. Any fee arrangement, commission, or transaction-specific term will be communicated for approval before a sale is completed.
Buyer conduct
Buyers are responsible for providing accurate registration information, complying with applicable law, honoring agreed transaction terms, and arranging pickup or freight as agreed.
Restricted inventory
Users may not submit or transact in prohibited, recalled, counterfeit, hazardous, stolen, or otherwise restricted inventory. See the Restricted Inventory Policy for details.
Limitation
The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, Sell the Surplus disclaims warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or service.
