Policy

Shipping, pickup, and transaction policy

Logistics are planned around protecting seller effort and making collection practical for buyers.

Preferred logistics

Where practical, local buyer pickup is preferred. Buyer-arranged freight is the next preferred option. Seller-arranged shipping is considered only when specifically approved.

Before pickup

The seller and buyer should agree on available pickup windows, packaging or pallet requirements, loading capability, and any required documents before a pickup is scheduled.

Freight

Freight needs can vary based on dimensions, weight, pallet count, freight class, location, and access requirements. Any freight quote or recommendation is an estimate until confirmed by the selected carrier or provider.

Proof and exceptions

The parties may need to document pickup, bill of lading details, tracking, delivery confirmation, or shipping exceptions depending on the transaction. Questions or issues should be reported promptly.

Payment

Sell the Surplus does not represent itself as an escrow provider. Payment and settlement terms, if any, are communicated in the transaction-specific plan.
